What happens when it ends: It ends by itself. 'You will be removed from the self-exclusion list once you've reached the end of your selected 1, 3 or 5 year exclusion period.' To stay excluded you have to act: 'To remain on the self-exclusion list once your initial exclusion period has expired, please sign up for the self-exclusion list again.' A lifetime exclusion does not expire.Nobody re-enrols you and the page describes no reminder, so the day your term ends every licensed Vermont sportsbook is open to you again. Worth knowing before you start

Vermont's programme is narrow and easy to over-trust: it is a mobile sports betting exclusion, nothing more. The same Department that administers it also runs the Vermont Lottery, and lottery tickets stay available to you at every retailer in the state, so if scratchers or draw games are part of the problem this list will not help with them. The one trap worth setting a calendar reminder for is the automatic removal at the end of a one, three or five year term — you come off the list on that date without being asked, and the Department's instruction is simply to sign up again if you want to stay on. There is also a weaker, separate tool you may be offered inside a sportsbook app: the state's Sports Wagering Procedures require operators to offer self-restriction, account cool-offs and responsible gaming limits, and to tell you about 'requirements to reinstate an account at the end of the period' and give you 'the ability to enroll in the statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program and a link to such site'. An in-app self-restriction is not the statewide list; if you want every licensed Vermont sportsbook closed to you, enrol with the Department.
